Larry Tabb Pyron, 84, passed away Friday, June 27, 2025, at his home in Collierville, TN. Larry was born in Greenwood, MS on February 5, 1941, where he spent most of his childhood. In 1960, he met his future wife at a skating rink in Elliot, MS. They married in March 1962 and moved to Collierville, TN, where they spent most of their adult lives. He loved working on cars and drag racing. In 2008, Larry and Wilma relocated to Kalispell, MT, where they lived for 14 years in the beautiful mountains of northwest Montana. Due to health issues, they returned to Collierville, TN, in 2022. Larry was a devoted husband and father who taught his sons valuable lessons about hard work, humility, and caring for family. While he had many admirable qualities, his love for his wife and family stood out the most. He will be deeply missed by family and friends.
Larry is survived by his wife, Wilma Gentry Pyron, his sons, Patrick Pyron (Denise) and Scott Pyron, and his grandchildren, Allie Holsapple, Brandon Pyron, Kendall Pyron, John Pyron, Tucker Pyron, Mason Pyron, and Gavin Pyron.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Townsend Hemphill and Bertha Elizabeth Pyron, and his siblings, Effie Pyron Lewis, James Henry Pyron, and Billy “Shag” Pyron.
Services will be held at 3PM on Sunday, June 29, 2025, at Tutor Memorial Funeral Home in Pontotoc with visitation beginning at 2PM. Bro. Les Helton will officiate. Burial will follow in Immanuel Cemetery.
