Upcoming Events:
May 31-June 27, 2025: Realism: The Observant Eye, Tennessee Valley Museum of Art
TVMA is honored to host an expansive collection of work from an array of local and
regional artists. Artists in this exhibit include Rick Parker, Pam Parker, Zack Underwood,
Elaine Booth, and Melodie Provenzano. A closing reception and artist talk will take
place June 27, 5-7pm. Additionally, the Helen Keller Art Show of Alabama is making its
annual stop at the museum in conjunction with the Helen Keller Festival.

July 11,12,13,18 & 19, 2025: Something Rotten! Ritz Theatre, Sheffield
“Something Rotten!” is a hilarious, high-energy musical comedy set in 1595,
following the Bottom brothers, Nick and Nigel, as they struggle to make a name for
themselves in the shadow of William Shakespeare—who’s treated like a rock star.
Desperate to outshine the Bard, they consult a soothsayer who predicts that the
future of theatre involves singing, dancing, and acting all at once: the musical.
Determined to write the world’s first, the brothers dive into outrageous situations, wild
misunderstandings, and over-the-top numbers. Packed with clever humor,
Renaissance-era absurdity, and endless Broadway references, it’s a joyful, irreverent

July 24-26, 2025: Martha Carpenter Portrait Workshop
During the 3-day workshop, Martha Carpenter will demonstrate canvas preparation,
materials usage, color mixture, and a basic layout of the bust portrait using a live model.

July 24, 2025: Blues at the Ritz- Mark “Muleman” Massey, Ritz Theatre, Sheffield

Born in Clarksdale, Mississippi, Muleman learned his craft as an inmate at Parchman
Farm while performing in the prison band. He’s lived the blues, paid his dues, and now
his time has come. His latest album, Been a Long, Long Time, was produced and
recorded by Billy Lawson at Wishbone Studio. It has earned him five Number 1 singles
and a Number 1 album on the Roots Soul and Blues Charts. Sponsored by Colbert

August 7-10, 2025: The Sweet Delilah Swim Club, Ritz Theatre, Sheffield
The Sweet Delilah Swim Club follows five Southern women whose friendship began on
their college swim team. They meet every summer for a reunion at the same beach
cottage in the Outer Banks of North Carolina. The play focuses on four of these
weekends and spans 33 years, highlighting their evolving lives, friendships, and

August 16, 2025: Classic Seger, Ritz Theatre, Sheffield
Relive the magic of timeless hits and classic rock anthems in an unforgettable night of
Rock & Roll. Classic Seger is a world-class tribute act, performing masterful renditions of
Bob Seger & the Silver Bullet Band classics like Night Moves, Turn the Page, Against

July 21-25, 2025: Art Explorers- Color, Create & Imagine! Ritz Theatre, Sheffield
Each day, campers will explore a new world of art, from painting & sculpting to mixed
media and wearable art. Messy Art Mondays, Sculpt & Build Tuesdays, Magical Mixed
Media Wednesdays, Wearable Art Thursdays, & Finale Friday Art Show. No experience
needed—just big imaginations and a love for fun! (Ages 5-17, $150)

July 21-25, 2025: Pirates & Mermaids, 9-11:30am Ritz Theatre, Sheffield
Join us for a magical, swashbuckling adventure at our Pirates & Mermaids Acting Camp.
Set sail on an unforgettable journey where campers will bring to life brave pirates and
enchanting mermaids through fun-filled games, imaginative character-building activities,
and creative role-playing. They’ll explore the high seas, discover hidden treasures, and
swim through magical underwater realms, all while developing their acting skills and
learning how to express emotions, become characters, and bring a story to life. (Ages

July 21-25, 2025: Under the Big Top, 3-5:30pm Ritz Theatre, Sheffield
In this fun and creative camp, campers will dive into the world of acting with a circus
twist, bringing to life eccentric clowns, bold ringmasters, daring acrobats, and more
through exciting acting exercises and imaginative role-play. They’ll focus on developing
key acting skills like vocal and physical expression, improvisation, and characterization,
all while learning how to create the unique personalities of circus performers. Throughout
the week, campers will collaborate to create original scenes, build confidence, and
enhance their storytelling abilities. The grand finale will be a short showcase
performance for family and friends, where campers will show off their new skills in a fun
circus-themed show. (Ages 8-11, $150)

July 21-25, 2025: Fractured Fables, 12-2:30pm Ritz Theatre, Sheffield
Campers will jump into twisted versions of classic stories where the roles of hero and
villain are turned upside down. Maybe the villain is the good guy, or the hero has a few
tricks up their sleeve—anything can happen in a fractured fable! Through creative acting
exercises, improv games, and character-building activities, campers will explore fun,
over-the-top characters, learn how to bring new life to classic tales, and discover how to
add their own unique twist to every scene. At the end of the week, campers will show off
their skills in a short showcase performance that will surprise and entertain their family
