Thomas "TK" Vance Kinney Thomas “TK” Vance Kinney, age 59, passed away peacefully at his residence in the Morgan City community of Lacey’s Spring, Alabama, on the evening of Monday, June 9, 2025. Born on December 2, 1965, in Marshall County, Alabama, TK was the beloved son of James Vance Kinney and Nellie Catherine Moncrief Kinney. He shared a devoted marriage of over 25 years with his wife, Jennifer Riggs Kinney, and was a cherished husband and father to their three children.

TK, a recently retired, passionate educator and school bus driver for Morgan County Schools, dedicated his life to teaching and nurturing the children of his community, leaving an indelible mark on countless lives. His love and compassion for family, students and friends made him a positive role model and support to many. As a testament to his hardworking and meticulous nature, TK along with his father, owned a successful construction business.

A man of faith, TK found peace and solace in his relationship with his Lord and Savior. TK was a gift from God that He graciously allowed us to treasure and enjoy. He was known for his enthusiastic “Roll Tide” cheers during football season and for the pride he took in maintaining his home and yard.

TK’s legacy is one of love, dedication, and strength. He will be remembered as a kind-hearted husband, father, brother and friend who touched the lives of many with his unwavering care and affection. His memory will forever live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.

TK is survived by his wife, Jennifer Riggs Kinney; sons, Gaston Kinney (Cassidy) and Connor Kinney (Kenzie); daughter, Skigh Hastings (Marshall); sister, Deborah McLemore (Jeff); niece, Anna Brown (Jonathan); and one grandchild expected in July.

The family will be laying TK to rest in a private ceremony. A memorial service will be announced when plans are completed. Arab Heritage Memorial Chapel entrusted with arrangements.
