Billy was born July 31, 1954 to Willie Eli and Eva Earlene “Coxwell” Ford, at J.C. Watkins Hospital., Quitman, MS. He was welcomed by seven siblings; Mable Yvonne, Buddy, Rachael, Bobbie, Mackie, Johnny, and later his younger brother Gary. Billy attended school with the Quitman School system, but quit at an early age and went to work making his way. He met his wife of 53 years and their friendship developed into pure love.. Then a year later on July 25, 1972, just 2 months and 25 days after the became a couple, she walked down that isle where they began their lives together. True soul mates forever.

Billy leaves to cherish his memory his loving wife; Georgia Lynn “Whitaker’, daughters; Angel (Danny) Differding, April Ivy, Amie Ford, Amber (Brent) Thomas, Bobbie Sue Boothe, Tiffany (Nate) Merrell, and Sarah Pratt. Grandchildren; Luke (Lisa Knight) Ivy, Dylan Thomas, Dawson Thomas, Dakota Thomas, Allen Hale, Chloe Hale, Emma (Little Red) Differding, Eli Differding, Gracelynn Lowery, Kinsley Lowery, Haygen Roberts, Sammy Boothe, Joseph Jones, David Jones, Lily Jones, Siblings; Mable Stallings and Bobbie (George) Breeland and all the residents of St. Francis Apts, numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.

Billy is preceded in death by his parents; Willie and Eva Ford, in laws; Carleton and Georgia Whitaker, Son; Andrew Lowery-Ford, Grandsons; Tristen Lee Hale and Carleton Ray Ivy, Siblings; Yvonne (Ford) Williams, Buddy Ford, Rachel (Ford) Chancelor, Mackie Ford, and Johnny Ford.

Memorial service will be held Saturday, June 21, 2025 at 11:00am at Dovertown Free Will Baptist Church and with the repass held at the home of Luke and Lisa (Knight) Ivy in Curry, Al. Directions will be given at the church.
