COLBERT COUNTY-The Colbert County Tourism bureau has compiled a list of must do events for the month of June.  Check out the list below we are sure there will be something there to peak your interest!

May 29- June 1, 2025 – Black Comedy – Cypress Moon Studio, 1000 Alabama Ave, Sheffield.
“Black Comedy,” presented by the Full Moon Players, is a slapstick comedy show that will have
you laughing from start to finish. With humor inspired by the 60’s and 70’s sketch comedy
shows, this PG-13 production is directed by Rance Czermak with assistant directors Brinna
Brown and Amanda Perry, and stage manager Autumn Blasingame. The show will take place at
Cypress Moon Studios with performances on Thursday and Friday, May 29th-30th at 7:00pm,
and Saturday and Sunday, May 31st-June 1st at 2:00pm. Tickets are $15 in advance or $20 at

June 1, 2025- The Burney Sisters – Champy’s, 120 2nd St., Muscle Shoals. The Burney
Sisters will be performing live at Champy’s on Sunday, June 1st, 2025, from 4:00 pm to 6:00

June 3, 2025- Travis Wammack Tribute – Shoals Theatre, 123 N. Seminary St., Florence .
FAME Studios presents A Tribute to Travis Wammack, a special evening celebrating one of the
most influential session guitarists and musical innovators of our time. Held at the Historic Shoals
Theatre in downtown Florence on Tuesday, June 3 from 7 to 10 p.m., the event will feature an
all-star lineup of vocalists and musicians performing songs that Travis Wammack wrote,
recorded, or played on. Guest performers include Lenny LeBlanc, Gary Nichols, Angela Hacker,
Monkee Wammack, Microwave Dave, Jerry Phillips, and more surprise guests. All proceeds will
benefit the Travis Wammack Scholarship Fund through the University of North Alabama’s

June 6-7, 2025 – African American Heritage Festival – Willie Green Recreation Center, 609 S.
East St. , Tuscumbia. The 23rd African American Festival will take place at the Willie Green
Recreation Center, celebrating African art, fashion, culture, crafts, and food. Enjoy live
demonstrations of traditional drumming and dance by the Uhuru African Dancers, as well as live
music performances from Exodus Reggae Band, Shelly “Saxman” Williams, Garner Brothers,

June 6,7,13,14,20,21,27, 2025 – The Miracle Worker – Ivy Green, 300 N. Commons,
Tuscumbia. Playwright William Gibson’s renowned drama The Miracle Worker will be performed
outdoors on the grounds of Ivy Green, Helen Keller’s birthplace in Tuscumbia, on weekends
from early June through mid-July. Celebrating over 60 years of performances, the play follows
Helen Keller’s journey from illness and isolation to her breakthrough under the guidance of Anne
Sullivan. Produced by the Helen Keller Foundation, Inc. and directed by Caroline Self, the show

June 7, 2025 – Centennial Celebration – Ivy Green, 300 N. Commons, Tuscumbia. The Lions
Helen Keller Memorial, located at her birthplace in Tuscumbia, is dedicated to preserving the
legacy of Helen Keller and supporting the global mission of Lions Clubs International to
eliminate preventable blindness. The memorial honors the work that began with Keller’s famous
1925 challenge to Lions Clubs and includes initiatives like the brick donation program. A major
milestone is approaching—the Centennial Celebration in 2025, which will commemorate the

June 7, 2025 – Helen Keller Color Run – Colbert County Courthouse, 201 North Main Street,
Tuscumbia. The Helen Keller Festival Color Run will take place on Saturday, June 7th, 2025,
from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm in downtown Tuscumbia. This 5K fun run and fundraiser begins and
ends downtown, with participants being showered with color throughout the course. The event is
family-friendly and supports the Helen Keller Festival and the Keller Kids program. Registration
and check-in start at 9:00 am, with the race beginning at 10:00 am. The cost is $25 per
participant or $80 for a bundle of four. Register by May 23rd to receive a free t-shirt. All ages are

June 7, 2025 – Muscle Shoals Street Rod Festival – Spring Park, 1 Spring Park Road,
Tuscumbia. Discover automotive history and marvel at the sleek designs of over 300 gleaming
street rods and vintage classics at Alabama’s premier annual festival, located at 1 Spring Park
Rd in the heart of Spring Park, Tuscumbia. Taking place on the first Saturday in June, this event
hosts one of the state’s largest antique and street rod car shows, featuring vehicles dating back

June 9-12, 2025 – Summer Tennis Camp – Muscle Shoals High School, 1900 Avalon
Ave.,Muscle Shoals. The Summer Tennis Camp with Clay Mize will take place from Monday,
June 9th, 2025, starting at 8:30 am, and will run through Thursday, June 12th, 2025, with
sessions at 10:00 am each day. The camp will be held at the Muscle Shoals High School Tennis
Courts, located at 1900 Avalon Avenue, Muscle Shoals, AL. This is a great opportunity for
tennis enthusiasts to improve their skills!

June 11, 2025 – Main Street Network Community Introduction – Superhero Chef, 104 S. Main St.,
Tuscumbia. On Wednesday, June 11th, 2025, from 9:00 am to 10:00 am, Superhero Chefs in
Tuscumbia will host a Main Street Network Community Introduction. Presented by Main Street
Alabama and Downtown Tuscumbia, Inc., this event welcomes community members to learn
about the opportunities and benefits that come with Tuscumbia’s new designation as a Main

June 13-15, 2025 – 2025 Sledgefest – Downtown Leighton. Sledgefest 2025 in Leighton,
Alabama, is scheduled for the weekend of June 13–15, 2025. This annual festival celebrates the
rich musical heritage of Leighton, honoring local legends such as Percy Sledge and Jimmy
Hughes. The event begins on Friday evening, continues through Saturday afternoon and
evening, and concludes with a Gospel Afternoon on Sunday. The festival features a variety of
activities, including live music performances, food trucks, artisan vendors, and special events

June 16-20, 2025 – TVAA Summer Camps – Ritz Theatre, 111 Third St., Sheffield. TVAA
Summer Camps at The Ritz Theatre will run from June 16 to July 25, 2025, offering art and
acting camps for ages 5–17 at $150 per session. “Under the Big Top” (ages 8–11) runs June
16–20 or July 21–25 from 3:00–5:30 pm and focuses on circus-themed acting. “Fractured
Fables” (ages 12–15) takes place the same weeks from 12:00–2:30 pm, offering creative twists
on classic stories. “Muddy Hands and Masterpieces” (ages 5–17) runs June 16–20 from

June 21, 2025 – J&W June Club Car Ride – Hawk Pride Offroad, 3874 Hawk Pride Mountain
Road, Tuscumbia. The J&W June Club Ride will be held on Saturday, June 21, 2025, from 9:00
am to 4:00 pm at Hawk Pride in Colbert County. This one-day ride invites off-road enthusiasts to
explore a variety of well-marked trails ranging from mild to wild. Participants should be aired
down, fueled up, and ready with park passes before the 9:00 am drivers meeting. Groups will be organized by trail difficulty. Attendees should bring lunch and drinks, and some may visit the

June 21, 2025 – Village School Volunteer Day – The Village School, 200 Chickamauga St.,
Sheffield. On Saturday, June 21, 2025, from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm, The Village School
Foundation will host its monthly volunteer workday in partnership with the Muscle Shoals
National Heritage Area at 200 Chickamauga St, Sheffield, AL. Volunteers are needed for various
tasks, including cleaning, painting, scraping, yard work, and organizing. No experience is
necessary, and all supplies and guidance will be provided. Please wear clothes you don’t mind

Belle Mont Mansion in Tuscumbia. The exhibit features 200 years of antique and vintage china,
displayed in tablescapes throughout the museum. Admission includes a tour of the historic Belle

June 26-28, 2025 – No Fender Nationals Southern Sizzler – North Alabama Speedway,12200
AL-247, Tuscumbia. From June 26–28, 2025, North Alabama Speedway in Colbert County will
host the “No Fender Nationals Southern Sizzler,” the biggest 3-Link Modified Race in the region,
presented by BMS Rock Sales of Jasper, AL. This high-octane three-day racing event promises
to deliver top-tier motorsport excitement and is expected to draw crowds from across the

June 26-29, 2025- 2025 Helen Keller Festival- Spring Park, 1 Spring Park Road, Tuscumbia.
This popular festival pays tribute to America’s “First Lady of Courage” with four days of
activities: parade, fine art & crafts show, food vendors, art exhibits, Keller Kids, staged musical
entertainment, history programs, tours, and two performances of “The Miracle Worker Play.”
This is an STS* Top 20 and ABA* Top 100 event. This annual festival is held on the 4th
weekend in June (Thurs-Sun) in beautiful downtown Tuscumbia & Spring Park. Most events are

will paint colorful hotdogs with step-by-step guidance from local artists. All supplies are

June 28, 2025 – Case ** Timeless Traditions Tour 2025 – Coldwater Seed and Supply, 108 E

2025 in downtown Tuscumbia on Saturday, June 28 from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM, celebrating
American craftsmanship during the Helen Keller Festival. The event will feature exclusive limited
edition Case knives, live demonstrations, artisan showcases, giveaways, special guests, and a
charity auction benefiting St. Jude. Case Collectors Club members are also invited to a dinner
