It is with great sadness we must announce the passing of Steven H. Guice, a cherished individual who left us on Monday, May 26th, 2025, at the age of 54. Born on January 5th, 1971, in Minot, North Dakota, Steven was the son of David L. Guice and Julia Murray Guice. He was a member of Jennings Chapel church of Christ.
Steven is survived by his devoted parents, David L. and Julie M. Guice, his sister Tara Guice Stegall and her husband Curtis, and his brother Nathan Guice and his wife Jennifer. He leaves behind several nieces and nephews, and a great-niece, who all held a special place in his heart. The memory of Steven will be cherished by his family and all who were fortunate to know him.
Steven was preceded in death by his grandparents, Olyn T. Guice, Jr. and Martha Guice, as well as William and Ernestine Murray.
The funeral service to honor Steven in will be held on Friday, May 30th, 2025, at 11:00 am at Limestone Chapel Funeral Home, in Athens, AL. Tadd Corder and Mike McLemore will officiate the service. Family and friends are invited to gather prior to the service for visitation, which will take place from 9:45 to 10:45 am. Following the service, Steven will be laid to rest at Copeland Cemetery.
Steven was a remarkably talented artist and industrial designer. His passion for mechanical design was evident in his work in advanced manufacturing and materials, including 3D printing, laser cutting, and graphite composites. His creativity and dedication to his craft left a lasting impact on those around him, and he will be deeply missed by all who appreciated his imagination and ingenuity.
Steven’s life was marked by kindness, creativity, and love for his family and friends. As we come together to celebrate his life, we are reminded of the ingenuity and talent he displayed in his work and the joy he shared with those he loved. Steven’s memory will live on in the hearts of everyone who knew him, and his legacy will continue to inspire future generations.
