Judi (Kelsoe) Moore, born on July 26, 1944, passed away peacefully on May 24, 2025. She was a remarkable woman whose life was shaped by compassion, grace, and an unwavering commitment to those she loved.

Judi’s life was driven by a deep sense of purpose, nurturing not only her children, but many others who still regard her as a second mother. In her later years, she embraced the role of Nana, offering her grandchildren the same enduring love. All who knew her felt like a part of her family.

Judi was affectionately known as “The Cake Lady”, as she established her own home-based business. Over the course of 50+ years, her passion for baking became her trademark in life. She became widely known for her extraordinary cakes, bringing joy to countless family members and friends.

Despite the many commitments she willingly embraced, Judi always made time for herself and her ‘Card Ladies’. This tight knit circle of lifelong friendships, formed around their love of Canasta, became like family. They supported one another through the various stages of life, even when weekly gatherings were no longer possible.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 51 years, Jerry Moore; her sister, Joyce Bryant; and her parents James Hollie and Elizabeth Blaxton Kelsoe.

Judi is survived by her children, Elizabeth (Dennis) Willingham, Jason (Debra) Moore, Kristy(Jason) Hornbeck, and Josh Moore; grandchildren, Hunter (Whitney) Moore, Meagan (Jeff) Cook, Devin (Baylee) Luna, Camryn (McCall) Atchison, Alex Hornbeck, Jaxon Hornbeck and Isebell Hornbeck; and great-grandchildren, Brodie Moore, Rowan Simpson, Noah Moore, and Lilian Moore.

Judi will be deeply missed but fondly remembered for her selfless devotion to family and the countless lives she enriched.
