Gail Hanson Black, 87 of Arab passed away Tuesday, May 20, 2025, at Huntsville Hospital. She was born July 31, 1937, in Guntersville, the daughter of James Alvin Hanson and Mellie Wright. She was married to Harold Black, who passed away February 10, 2018, and was a part of the Guntersville Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses.
She is survived by son: John Black (Candy); grandchildren: Megan Hipp, Mishealah Cole (Matthew), Kaytlynn Townson (Heath) and Carianna Graves; great grandchildren: Ella, James, Lane, Jada and Ryland; host of other relatives and many friends. She was preceded in death by husband: Harold Black, daughter: Debbie LaRue; parents: Alvin Hanson and Mellie Wright.
Funeral Service was 11:00 a.m. Saturday, May 24, 2025, at Gober Funeral Chapel with Buddy Mulkey officiating. Entombment was in Brookwood Mausoleum, Gober Funeral Chapel directing. Visitation was 10:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. Saturday at Gober Funeral Chapel.
