Marcus O’Neal Johnson, 76, Sheffield, passed away on Thursday, May 15, 2025. A memorial visitation will be held on Tuesday, May 20, from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. at Morrison Funeral Home, Tuscumbia.
Marcus was a retired railroad engineer with forty years of service. He was a member of Calvary Missionary Baptist Church and attended Colbert Heights First Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents, Titus and Lenice Johnson; and brothers, Billy Ray Johnson, Bobby Joe Johnson, and Troy Matthew Johnson.
Marcus is survived by his children, Christopher Mark Johnson (Molly), Jenny Johnson Jacques (Billy), and McKinley Johnson Powers (Jon); brothers, Cleo Johnson (Wanda) and Leo Johnson (Joette); sister-in-law, Glenda Johnson; grandchildren, Noah Christopher Johnson, Audrey Susan Johnson, Case Kirkland Johnson, Atticus O’Neal Powers, and Gideon Charles Powers; a host of nieces and nephews; and canine companion, Mojo.
The family offers special thanks to his nephew, Eric Johnson, for all of his care and support.
