Linda Sue Sartain Embrey, 80, passed away Wednesday, May 14, 2025 at North Ms. Medical Center, Tupelo, MS. She was born in Jasper, AL to Gilbert B. Sartain and Virginia Pauline Wood Sartain. She was a 1963 graduate of Belmont High School and received her LPN Degree at age fifty-eight with honors from Itawamba Community College. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church and loved her family and church family.

Services will be Saturday, May 17, 2 p.m. at Calvary Baptist Church with Bro. Barry Holcomb and Mike Deaton officiating. Visitation will be Friday, May 16, 6-9 p.m. and Saturday, May 17, 12-2 p.m. at Calvary Baptist Church. Burial will be in Joel Cemetery, Dennis, MS. Deaton Funeral Home, Belmont, MS will be in charge of arrangements.

She is survived by two children, Joel Harris (Sonya) and Martha L. Mansell (Terry); grandchildren, Trista Eaton (Dustin), Dustin Harris (Meagan), Shara Allison (Jason), Seth Rockwell (Andrea) and Asia Mansell; great-grandchildren, Rita, Caren, Christian, Kenna Rae and Mika Ann Eaton, Olivia Harris, Jax Allison, Calli Larsen, Peyton Mansell and Lane Rockwell; one sister, Paulette Embrey (Frankie); an uncle, Billy P. Sartain; several cousins; sisters-in-law, Pat Embrey, Carol Tomlin (Bill), Linda Embrey and Joyce Embrey; brother-in-law, Jimmy Embrey (Shirley) and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Erskine “Sonny” E. Embrey and a grandson, Patrick Mansell.

Pallbearers will be Dustin Harris, Seth Rockwell, Dusty Eaton, Craig Pharr, Terrell Pearson, Donnie Wood, Quint Sartain and Jason Allison. Honorary pallbearers will be Billy P. Sartain, Jeff Sartain, Cliff Foster and deacons of Calvary Baptist Church.
