Raymond Horace Freeman Mr. Raymond Horace Freeman, age 69, of Lacey’s Spring, Alabama passed away May 14, 2025 at Huntsville Hospital. Mr. Freeman was born August 14, 1955 in Madison County, AL. His parents were Harce Freeman and Reba Louise Moses. He and wife, Sheree Lamb Freeman, have enjoyed 51½ years of marriage. Raymond owned and operated a landscaping business for several years. His love of the outdoors and in hunting and fishing led him to developed an interest in taxidermy. He taught himself, through trial and error, until he became an expert in the field. He was a true master of all trades as there was nothing he couldn’t do.

Raymond loved and cherished his family. He stood firm in his beliefs and always stood up for what was right. At the same time, he was the kind of man who would give you the shirt off his back without a second thought. That selflessness and integrity were evident in the many friendships he nurtured throughout his life. His strength, kindness and unwavering love will be missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.

Family members Raymond leaves behind to cherish memories include: wife, Sheree Freeman; children, Jeanna Shipley (Bobby) and Brandy Bachus; mother, Reba Louise Moses; grandchildren, Jordyn Fleming, Blake Page, Russell Bachus, Olivia Champagne, Hunter Shipley and Hannah Shipley; ten great grandchildren; brothers, Timmy Freeman and Eddie Freeman; and sister-in-law, Gwynn Waylen.

Raymond is preceded in death by his father, Harce Freeman, and his brother, Anthony Freeman.

Services for Raymond will be Friday, May 16, 2025 at the Brindlee Mountain Chapel, just north of Morgan City. The family will receive friends and guests for a visitation from 1:00 pm until the funeral service at 2:00. Brother Corey Morrow will officiate. Interment will be in the Valhermoso Springs Baptist Church Cemetery. Honored to serve as pallbearers are: Blake Page, Bobby Shipley, Chris Fleming, Matt Bachus, Larry Crowe and Barney Dalton. Serving as Honorary Pallbearers will be Timmy Freeman, Mike Dalton, Chris Stapler, Eddie Freeman and Benny Martin. Arab Heritage Memorial Chapel entrusted with arrangements,
