Dakota Blayze Bowen, 27, died on April 19, 2025 as the result of a one-car automobile accident in Layafette County. He has now joined his mother and other loved ones in heaven. Blayze was born in Amory on April 22, 1997 to Lance and Amber Taylor Bowen. He graduated from Lafayette High School. Blayze loved all sports, especially football and basketball. He had a quiet, gentle spirit.

Blayze is survived by his father, Lance Bowen; daughter, Locklynn Bowen; brothers, Brandon Moses, Balyden Foster, Jordan Bowen, and sister, Cheyenne Bowen; his grandparents, Pattie Wark Bishop and Leslie and Debbie Bowen; and great-grandmother Dorothy “Dot” Ward Gann. He was preceded in death by his mother, Amber Raye Taylor.

The family has requested a private family service. Rev. Randy Lewman will officiate. Holland Funeral Directors-Tupelo is honored to serve their neighbors.
