William David “Billy” Miller, Jr., 78, passed away on March 22, 2025 at Sanctuary Hospice House in Tupelo, MS. He was born on August 31, 1946 to the late William David “Bo” Miller and Sarah Alver Stokes Miller. He was retired from Gulf States Manufacturing, a retired cattle farmer and a U.S. Army veteran.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sisters, Frances Kinard and Vernice Warner; and brother, Sydney Earl Miller.

He is survived by his sisters, Dean Tennyson (Ralph) of Starkville, MS, and Jean Caston (Herbert) of Columbus, MS; brothers, Bobby Miller (Linda) of West Point, MS, and Raymond Miller (Debbie) of Starkville, MS; host of nieces and nephews; and someone that was very special to him, Virginia Parker and her son, Casey.

Visitation is scheduled for Monday, March 24, 2025 from 12:00-2:00 p.m. at Welch Funeral Home in Starkville, MS, with the funeral service immediately following in the funeral home chapel. Rev. Preston Rushing will conduct the service. Burial will be in Curtis Chapel Cemetery in Starkville.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Sanctuary Hospice House, 5159 W Main St, Tupelo, MS 38801 or to Gideons International, The Gideons International Processing Center, P.O. Box 97251 Washington, DC 20090-7251.

Active pallbearers are: Billy Miller, Randy Tennyson, Tracy Caston, Steven Cantrell, Ryan Tennyson, Justin Miller, and Tim Kimbrell. Honorary pallbearers are: Johnny Bardwell, Kenny Sykes, Paul Wells, Ralph Tennyson, Herbert Caston, George Baldwin, Sam Wayne Gray, Johnny Miller, Casey Parker, Mike Ray, and Ken Edmonds.
