Melba Sue Sowards, age 82, Haleyville, AL. passed away February 24, 2025. She was a member of New Prospect Baptist Church in Haleyville, AL.
Visitation with the family will be Saturday March 8, 2025 from 1:00PM – 2:00PM at New Prospect Baptist Church in Haleyville, AL. Memorial to follow at 2:00PM in the church, with Timothy Burleson, II and Dr. Ron Horton speaking.
She is survived by her niece, Tana Brenner; granddaughters, Susan Altman and Ashley Cavill; a host of great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husbands, Johnny Russell Burleson and Cicero Sowards; children, Timothy Burleson, Dewayne Sowards and Jimmie Nell Frazier; parents, Burnett Frazier and Irvil Hodge Frazier.
