It is with deep sorrow that the family of Victoria Nicholson Gonia announces her passing on Thursday, February 27, 2025, in Huntsville, Ala. She was 84. Victoria was born on October 28, 1940, in San Francisco, Calif., to George and Maria Rivera Nicholson who preceded her in death. Her life was filled with accomplishments: a gifted violinist, model, dancer, pilot, equestrian, motorcyclist, successful business owner and entrepreneur, wife, and mother.

She was preceded in death by her parents, George and Maria Nicholson, beloved husband, Robert E. Gonia, of Sevierville, Tenn., and grandson, Joshua D. Sievers of Huntsville. Survivors include her siblings, Jenny (Ted) Reinke of Brentwood, Calif., George (Barbara) Nicholson of El Dorado Hills, Calif., children, Dan Sievers of Madison, Ala., Debi (Kevin) Crowley of Elkmont, Ala., and Rod (Haley) Kellogg Jr. of Gulf Shores, Ala., Debbie (John) Hays of Pensacola, Fla., Junita (Jamie) Grantham of Athens, Ala., and Ron (Rachel) Gonia of Pell City, Ala., 11 grandchildren, and special friend, Tom Gordon of Morristown, Tenn.

A celebration of life will be held in the future. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in memory of Victoria Gonia to any Alzheimer’s charity.
