Mrs. Betty Charlotte Claborn, age 89, of Moody, AL, passed away peacefully on February 21, 2025. Born on April 25, 1935, in Albertville, AL, she was the cherished daughter of the late William Abercrombie and Matilda Jones.
Betty embraced life with a spirit of adventure and a deep love for her family and friends. Her passion for travel took her to many places, creating cherished memories. Her faith was central to her life, and she was a devoted member of Cornerstone Life Church. She found joy in simple pleasures, including reading, shopping, and sharing her love through cooking.
Betty will be deeply missed by her numerous nieces and nephews, her devoted close friends, and her beloved Cornerstone Life Church family.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Almon Ray Claborn; her brothers, Abbie Abercrombie, Johnny Lambert, and Woodrow Lambert; and her sisters, Alice Greer and Ruby Piper.
A visitation to honor Betty’s life will be held on Wednesday, February 26, 2025, from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Adams Brown Service Funeral Home. A funeral service will follow at 2:00 PM in the Chapel.
Mrs. Claborn will be laid to rest in Marshall Memorial Cemetery, with Pastor Brian McGinnis officiating.
