WillieThe Rev. Willie Paul Kilburn, Florence, Ala., was born March 20, 1928, in Lawrence County, Tenn., the son of the late Miley and Cecil Rebecca Kelley Kilburn. He was united in marriage to Charlene Riedout on Feb. 2, 1948. Mr. Kilburn was a minister and retired machinist, having pastored Mayflower Full Gospel Church, South Bend, Ind., Green River Tabernacle, Waynesboro, Tenn., Osceola Full Gospel Church, Osceola, Ind., and for the past 15 years has been pastoring Turkey Creek Union Church, Savannah, Tenn. Mr. Kilburn departed this life Tuesday, May 14, 2013, at Jackson-Madison County General Hospital, Jackson, Tenn. at the age of 85 years, 1 month, 24 days. Survivors include his wife of over 65 years, Charlene Riedout Kilburn, Florence, Ala.; sons, Gary D. Kilburn, Lutts, Tenn., Kevin D. Kilburn, Florence, Ala.; daughter, Paulette Steele and husband, William Charles Steele Jr., Granger, Ind.; grandchildren, William Charles Steele III, Ashley Paige Andrews; great-grandchildren, Hannah, Amelia and Lydia Steele, Emerald and Amethyst Andrews; brothers, Charles Kilburn, Osceola, Ind., Miley Jr Kilburn, Finger, Tenn., T.J. Kilburn and Leon Kilburn, both of Savannah, Tenn.; sisters, Emma Lois Beeler, Toledo, Ohio, Norma Rene Irvin, South Bend, Ind., Joyce Childers, Lexington, Ala.; nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Mr. Kilburn was preceded in death by a son, Ricky Lane Kilburn; a brother, Clemon Kelley Kilburn. Services will be Thursday, May 16, 2013, at 1 p.m. at Shackelford Funeral Directors Chapel, Collinwood, Tenn., with Jason Love and Ricky West officiating. Burial will follow in Lutts Cemetery, Lutts, Tenn., with Shackelford Funeral Directors, Wayne County, directing. Pallbearers will be Greg Allison, Mike Allison, Willy Steele, Ashley Andrews, Tim Kilburn, Dan Kilburn, Frankie Vickery, Greg Geralds and Rayford Smith. Honorary pallbearers will be Millard Southerland, Timothy Andrews, Amy Steele and Dale Bevis. Visitation will be today from 11 a.m. until service time at the funeral home.
