Velva Dykes, age 90 of Haleyville, Alabama passed away February 12, 2025. She was retired from Winston Furniture, member of Ninth Avenue Church of Christ and Double Springs Church of Christ.
Visitation will be Sunday, February 16, 2025 from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. at Pinkard Funeral Home, Haleyville, AL. Funeral service will begin at 2:00 p.m. with Kyle Pruitt and Vance Hutton officiating. Burial will follow in Winston Memorial Cemetery.
Ms. Dykes is survived by her son, Mike Pruitt; grandchildren, Mark Pruitt, Kim Hulsey, Kasey Pruitt and Kyle Pruitt; great grandchildren, LaDecka Pruitt and Alex Hulsey; great great grandchildren, Gabe Pruitt, Adalee Pruitt, Sawyer Hulsey and Ellie Kate Hulsey.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Dalton and Anthia West; husband, Robert Dykes; son, Phillip Pruitt; and grandson, Tim Pruitt; brothers and sister, Otho West, Verda Vick and Don West.
