Funeral services for Mr. Charles R. Gardner, 70, of Goodwater will be held on Monday, February 3, 2025 at 2:00 P.M. at Benefield Funeral Home in Lineville with Bro. Jimmy Nelson officiating. Burial will follow in the Rock Springs Baptist Church Cemetery.
Charles lived his life in the Clay and Coosa County area. He worked for many years at Russell Mills in Alexander City.
He is survived by his daughter, Melinda Gardner and Charles of Goodwater; son, Lynn Gardner and wife Amber of Kellyton; six grandchildren, Candace(Dedric), Scott, Alex, Brittany(Wesley), Hunter and Julie; four great-grandchildren, Kenzie, Maddie, Cam and Elliot; three brothers, John Gardner, James Gardner(Shirley) and Wade Champion; several nieces, nephews and a large extended family.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Lonzo Gardner and Ruby Barnett; wife, Gloria Gardner; great-grand-daughter, Gianna; brother, Ronny Gardner.
Pallbearers will be family members.
The family will receive friends at Benefield Funeral Home in Lineville on Monday, February 3, 2025 from 1:00 until 2:00 P.M. before the service.
