Funeral services for Ms. Lola D. Moore age 89, of Lineville will be held February 1, 2025 at 2:00 P.M. at Pine Grove Baptist Church with Rev. Billy Taylor officiating. Burial will follow in the adjoining cemetery.
Ms. Moore passed away January 30, 2025 at her residence. She was born and raised in Clay County and graduated from Lineville High School. Lola married John T. Moore and traveled with him and lived in many places as he worked for Southern Natural Gas, before returning to Clay County in 1989. Throughout her life she was a very active and dedicated member of Pine Grove Baptist Church, loved talking to people and especially “loving on people” in the nursing home. Lola was a very gracious and positive person, loved the flowers in her yard, especially her Camellias; and was proud of her Doll Collection and spending time with her fury sidekick Roxie.
She is survived by her son Marcus C. Moore; grandchildren; Samantha Moore (Adam Hall), and Zach Moore (Bonnie) all of Slapout, her sister; Ruby Dewberry of Lineville, nieces, nephews and a large extended family.
She was preceded in death by her parents; Clyde Everett Dingler and Janie Jewel McDonald Dingler, her husband; John T. Moore, son, John E. Moore, and 2 sisters; Helen Robertson and Betty Rice.
Pallbearers will be Lamar Dewberry, Russell Dewberry, Doug Dewberry, Garrison Williams, Preston Williams, and Andrew Hughes.
The family will receive friends at Pine Grove Baptist Church on Saturday from 1:00 P.M. until service time at 2:00 P.M.
