Rita Calloway Stafford, age 79, of Cornersville, Tennessee, died Monday, January 27, 2025, at her home.
Rita was born September 18, 1945, in Lewisburg, Tennessee, to the late Meldon and Pauline (Polly) Steele Calloway. Prior to retirement she worked in customer service at Medtronic. She was a member of Cornersville Church of Christ. She enjoyed crafting of all kinds especially making jewelry, crocheting and knitting. She will be deeply missed by her family and friends.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Tina Stafford and a brother John Steele Calloway.
She is survived by her daughter Deanna Stafford and her son Kenneth Stafford both of Cornersville; three grandsons, Jordan Stafford, Calen Rowden and Bradley Stafford; one granddaughter Kya Stafford; sister Mary (Alfred) Holland of Nashville; lifelong friend Donna Murdock Giles of Lewisburg.
A graveside memorial service will be held at a later date.
