Elvin A. Howard, age 85, of Russellville, passed away on Sunday, January 05, 2025, at his residence.
Elvin graduated from Belgreen High School in 1958 and played basketball and baseball. He was a hardworking man and taught all of his children the importance of working. Elvin retired from Sunbeams in Cicero and later worked at Minor Saw in Tuscumbia. He was a man of his word, always believed in tough love, but was always there for anyone who needed him. He was always looking for a good deal and enjoyed times spent in Tunica. He loved his children and especially his grandchildren and his fur babies. “God is good, all the time.”
He was preceded in death by his wife of 44 years, Lisa Jean Howard; son, Jesse Howard; daughter, Debbie Mae Howard; great-great-granddaughter, Taska Howard; son-in-law, Chuck Lawson; parents, Robert “T.L.” & Lottie (Bolton) Howard; sisters-in-law, Deborah LaPlaca, Barbara Darby; sisters, Marie Miller, Margaret Hester, Barbara Howard; brothers, Delon Howard, Thomas Howard, Levon Howard, Ollis Howard, Clovis Howard, and Nello Howard.
He leaves to cherish his memories, his children, Elvin Howard, Jr. (Alice), Robert Howard (Lora), Barbara Lawson (Jarred Cole), Larry Howard (Gail), Amy Duncan (Tom), Amanda Sharp (Brandon), Adam Howard (Julie), Alan Howard (Virginia), Debra Howard (Tyler); special four legged friends, Shelby “Princess”, Maggie, Mia, Rebel, and Cats; grandchildren, Tiffany Helmondollar (Rich), Lambert Robert Howard, Andy Howard, Tommy Howard, Augie Lawson, Samantha Lawson Hamm (Cory), Lindsey Howard, Jacob Howard, Jennifer Presley (Jeremy), Bobbi Duncan, Maranda Sharp, Alton Sharp, Jacob Sharp, Helen Howard, Rebecca Silvey (Jesse), Jonathan Howard, Warren Howard, Benjamin Howard, Isaac Pinkard, Isabella Perez, AJ Howard (Skyler), Whitney Howard; great-grandchildren, Ian Howard, Natalie Howard, Jayden Howard, Khloe Howard, Caleigh Lawson,

The visitation will be 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, January 08, 2025, at Spry Memorial Chapel. The funeral will be held at 1:00 p.m. in the chapel with his son, Adam Howard, officiating the service. The burial will be at Bethsaida Cemetery.
The pallbearers will be Jonathan Howard, Warren Howard, Alton Sharp, Sam Lawson, Alan Howard, and Jeremy Presley. The honorary pallbearers will be Jacob Sharp, Benjamin Howard, Michael Zaragoza, Jackson Swinney, A.J. Howard, Weylyn Lawson, and Caleigh Lawson.
