Phillip Paseur, 71, a lifelong resident of Sugar Fork, in rural Madison County, passed away at Huntsville Hospital on December 27, 2024.
Phillip graduated from New Hope High School in 1972. He worked for many years on Redstone Arsenal for ERC, a government contractor, before enjoying retirement in 2016.
Phillip will be remembered for his strong work ethic, his love of the outdoors (especially surrounding his home in Sugar Fork) and his wonderful sense of humor.
Phillip was preceded in death by his mother, Opal Meeks (Frank) Gilliland; father, Conward (Imogene) Paseur and stepbrother, Donnie Gilliland.
Survivors include his wife, Renee Mann; son, Dan (Kristina) Paseur; grandson, Wyatt Paseur; sisters, Patricia Paseur Poarch and Elaine Gilliland (Tommy) Baker; stepbrother, Donnie (Linda) Gilliland and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be Sunday, January 5th 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm at New Hope Funeral Home. A memorial service will follow Sunday, January 5th at 2:00 pm.
In lieu of flowers the family would like memorial donations to be made to A New Leash on Life or a favorite charity of your choice.
