Alice Marie Duncan – Obituary

Alice Marie Duncan, 82, died Saturday, May 4, 2013, at her home. She was born December 4, 1930, in Arkansas to Ray and Theo Hillard Underwood. She worked over 25 years at Charm Step until it closed and then worked at McDonald’s until last year when she retired for health reasons. She was an avid gardener and enjoyed quilting and flowers.

Services will be at 2 p. m. Tuesday, May 7, at the McNeece-Morris Funeral Home Chapel in Fulton with Bro. Wesley Kingsley officiating. Burial will be in Itawamba Memorial Gardens.

Survivors include two sons, Charlie Duncan (Dorothy) and Horace Lee Duncan, both of Fulton; one daughter-in-law, Nita Duncan of Fulton; one brother, Gerene Underwood (Iva) of Bethel Springs, Tenn.; three sisters, Hazel Leffelman (Gordon) of Kingston, Ill., Pat Tate of Hughes, Ark., and Betty Sue Rose of Marion, Ark.; a sister-in-law, Diane Underwood of Rochelle, Ill.; 11 grandchildren, Christy Underwood, T. J. Duncan, Dusty Duncan, Robbie Duncan, Sarah Steed, Michelle Wray, Kenneth Hudnall, Kathy Graham, Joyce Krause, Jessica McCoy, and April Allred; 21 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Horace Crafton Duncan; one son, Tommy Duncan; a daughter-in-law, Linda Duncan; her parents; three brothers, Bud, Leon, and Jimmy Underwood; and two sisters, Lois Mullvain and Vera Christian.

Pallbearers will be Dusty Duncan, Midd Harrison, Cody Smith, Chris Thomas, T. J. Duncan, and Jessie Underwood.

Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p. m. Monday, May 6, at the funeral home.
