Thomas Elmer Lanier, 78 of Toney, Alabama died on Friday, May 3, 2013, at Huntsville Hospital.
Born Sunday, May 13, 1934 in Athens, Alabama, he was the son of the late Herman Lanier and the late Evelyn McLemore Lanier. He was a member of Jesus Way Tabernacle Church. He was a Veteran of the US Marine Corp. and was a truck driver for 39 years.
Surviving are daughters, Lisa Lanier of Toney, AL and Sylvia Jean Faulkner of Toney, AL, sister, Telete (Jim) Pitts of California, grandchildren: Chris Letson, Tonya Bolin, Brandy Posey, Jackie Tipton, Jr., and Amber Reyer, and 11 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at 1:00 PM on Tuesday, May 7, 2013, at Ardmore Chapel Funeral Home, Ardmore, Alabama with Bro. Buddy Payne officiating. Burial will be in Huntsville Memory Gardens, Huntsville, AL.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Monday, May 6, 2013, at Ardmore Chapel Funeral Home, Ardmore, Alabama.
