Floyd Danley  Floyd Danley, age 76, of Las Vegas NV passed away on Sunday September 29, 2024. Floyd was born in Loretto TN to Martha Jean Springer and Lonas Newton Danley. Floyd was a veteran of the United States Army. He received many awards for his service including the Bronze Star and the Purple Heart. After his discharge from the armed services, Floyd began a career as a Paint Horse trainer. Floyd led many horses to APHA World Championships in his 40+ year career as a trainer. After retirement Floyd enjoyed spending time watching Alabama football and traveling with his wife. Floyd was preceded in death by his grandparents, parents as well as his brothers Dan and Ron Sullivan. Floyd is survived by his wife Cathy, and children Rhonda Fizer (children Samantha, Miranda and Bryson) and her husband Todd, Brooke Murphy (children Parker and Madelynn) and her husband Jason, and Justin Smerber (children Nash and Nixon). He is also survived by his siblings, Dennis Danley and his wife Kathy, Debbie Thornton and her husband Michael, as well as Steven Smith. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm on October 26th at Loretto Memorial Chapel. Visitation will be held at 12pm and services will begin at 1pm. Burial will follow at Greenhill Cemetery. Loretto Memorial Chapel is assisting the family.
