William Herbert Goodman, Jr., 93, of Union Hill, passed away March 13, 2024. He was married to the late Ellen Richardson for over 60 years, both having graduated from the University of Alabama in 1951. He loved his God, family, friends, country living, and Alabama football.
Mr. Goodman is survived by children, Diane Waits (Mike), Connie Davis (Randy), and Larry Goodman (Kelley); nine grandchildren, Nathan Sanborn (Emily), Michael Sanborn, Ashley Taylor (Mat), Benjamin Goodman, Sarah Goodman, Adam Davis (Allie), Nicki Dickens (Jonathan), Mark Goodman (Rachael), and Tommy Traynam (Amanda); 12 great-grandchildren, Ella Kate, Hudson, Rowan, and Meili Grace Taylor, Riley, Lincoln, Aaron and Nolan Goodman, Eli Goodman, and Owen, Charlie and Asher Traynam.
A private graveside service will be held at Maple Hill Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Encompass Hospice, Samaritan’s Purse, or a charity of your choice.
