Homer Walker, age 84, of Hazel Green passed away on February 28, 2024.

To many, he was known as the tomato man of the Cook St. Madison County Farmers Market.

He was born June 15, 1939, to William and Altie Walker with whom he is preceded in death.  He is also preceded in death by his sister and brother-in-law, Shirley and AM Stone, brother-in-law Jim Campbell, and nephews Kenny and Joe Stone.

Homer was married for over 50 years to Mary Brumlow, who passed away in 2022.

He is survived by his daughters: Teresa Heckaman and Amy (Jerry) Gibson.  His three grandchildren, Jake (Haley) Heckaman, Laureen (Paul) Heckaman, and David Pamplin.

Visitation with the family will be held at Hazel Green Funeral Home, on Sunday, March 3, from 2:00 – 3:00 PM.  A memorial service will be conducted at 3:00 immediately following visitation.
