Graveside service for Edward Max Fricks, age 80, of Decatur, will be 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, March 3, 2024, at Midway Memorial Gardens with O. D. Bowling officiating and Parkway Funeral Home directing.
Mr. Fricks, who died Wednesday, February 28, 2024, at Decatur Morgan Hospital, was born August 8, 1943, in Alabama to Edgar Fricks and Lillie Shirley Fricks. He was preceded in death by his son, Joey Mitchell (Trisha); parents; brother, Euclid Fricks; and sister, Ellen Womack. He was a building inspector and a veteran of the U. S. Army.
He is survived by his loving wife, Patricia (Bass) Fricks; son, Steve Fricks; daughter, Kim Morris (Dennis); brother, Terry Fricks (Pat); two sisters, Louise Harris and Virginia Taylor; and five grandchildren, Zach Fricks (Taylor), Kassidy Davis (Wesley), Sarah Grace Mitchell (Jacob), Jackson Morris, and Peyton Morris (Kirsten).
Pallbearers will be Steve Fricks, Dennis Morris, Jackson Morris, Peyton Morris, Jacob Beckham, Zach Fricks, and Wesley Davis.
