Funeral service for Franklin Greer Crisler, age 79, of Town Creek will be 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, February 29, 2024, at Pilgrim Missionary Baptist Church with Bro. Redmond Talley and Ashley Crisler officiating, and Parkway Funeral Home directing.  The family will receive friends on Wednesday, February 28, 2024, from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Parkway Funeral Home Chapel.  Interment will be in Elmwood Cemetery, Town Creek.  Guestbook available at www.parkwayfunerals.com.

Mr. Crisler, who died Sunday, February 25, 2024, at his residence, was born August 29, 1944, in Alabama to Walter Crisler and Maggie Peebles Crisler.  He was preceded in death by his son, Frankie Crisler; his parents; and 16 siblings.  Mr. Crisler was a faithful member and deacon at Pilgrim Missionary Baptist Church.  He was drafted and honorably served his country in Vietnam. Duck hunting and feeding his cows and chickens were among his favorite activities, as well as using his beloved Massey Ferguson tractor, but his true joy was his grandchildren.

He is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Judy (Kerby) Crisler; son, Ashley Crisler (Emiley); daughter, Greta Cooper (Matt); brother, Ussery Crisler (Marcella); sister, Patricia Cleveland; and five grandchildren, Madeline Cooper, Bryson Cooper, Jack Cooper, McKenna Crisler, and Bailey Crisler.

Pallbearers will be Jamey Crisler, Justin Crisler, Jeremy Kerby, Joshua Kerby, Marty Hill, and Frankie Stewart.  Honorary pallbearers will be the Wood Yard crew at Champion International Paper.
