Gladys Beatrice Garrison, 88, of Locust Fork, Ala., was born July 10, 1924, in Cullman County, Ala. and died April 7, 2013, at Windermere Nursing Facility. She was the daughter of Gladys Joshua Winkles and Carrie Mae Carnes Winkles. Her husband was Silas Willard Garrison. She was a restaurant manager.
Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Friday, April 12, 2013, at Lemley Funeral Home. The graveside service will be 11 a.m. Saturday, April 13, 2013, at Gray Rock Cemetery, Haleyville, Ala. The Rev. Curtis Taylor is officiating.
She is survived by her son, Adrian Garrison (Eve), Augusta, Ga.; daughter, Belinda Castaneda (Benito), Snellville, Ga.; grandchildren, Adrian Garrison Jr. (Andy), Karla Ann Martin and Nolan Silas Garrison (Tara); great-grandchildren, Landon Parker Garrison and Alice Mae Martin; sister, Helen McCay “Dollie”, Locust Fork, Ala.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Gladys Joshua and Carrie Carnes Winkles; husband, Silas Willard Garrison; son, Clayton Garrison; brother, Bo Winkles; sisters, Ruby Thomas, Essie Mae Holman and Susie Reno.
