Donald Clifton Williams, 67 of Athens, passed away on Sunday, February 4th, 2024, at Athens Limestone Hospital. Mr. Williams was born on January 10th, 1957, in Madison, AL, to Johnny and Lela Williams.
Mr. Williams is survived by his wife Sherry Williams; son Donald Williams, Jr. (Alex), of Elkmont; daughters Melisa Gooch (Paul), of Elkmont, and Penny Daly (Collin) of Elkmont; grandchildren Timmy (Abbie), Paul, Bennett, Levi, Theo, Kenlee, Luke, and Taylor; great-grandchildren Abree, Clayton, Waylon, and Elaina; brothers Buford Williams, of Harvest, and Douglas Williams, of Athens; and sisters Linda Thompson (Stanley), of Ardmore, and Martha Thompson (James), of Lester.
He is preceded in death by his daughter Tonya Tucker; grandsons Jordan Lewis and Travis Williams; his parents; and a brother.
Funeral services for Mr. Williams will be Thursday, February 8th, 2024, at 1:00pm at Limestone Chapel Funeral Home, with Donald Terry officiating. Visitation will be Thursday from 11:00am-1:00pm at the funeral home. Burial will be at Reunion Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Timmy Lewis, Paul Gooch, Heath Thompson, Shane Thompson, Brent Adams, and Tommy Tucker. Honorary pallbearers will be Bennett Daly, Levi Williams, Theo Lewis, Clayton Tucker, Luke Meadows, and Waylon Vaughn.
