Martha Ann Myrick Atkinson, “Granny”, 76, of Florence, passed away February 3, 2024, at her home. She was retired from Wilson High School as lunchroom manager. She volunteered at Zip City Community Center. Mrs. Atkinson was a member of Stony Point Church of Christ. Officiating will be Steele Myrick.
Visitation will be Thursday, February 8, 2024, from 9:30 a.m.-11:00 a.m. at Greenview Funeral Home. The funeral service will follow at 11:00 a.m. in the funeral home chapel. Burial will be in Greenview Memorial Park.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Robert Kenneth “Butch” Atkinson; parents, Cecil and Mary Ruth Myrick; brother, Billy Myrick; brother-in-law, Kirby Wiggins; and friend, Jerry Edwards.
Mrs. Atkinson is survived by her son, Shannon Bevis; daughters, Alice Arnold (Anthony) and Leigh Eckl (Chris); brothers, Cecil Myrick, Jr. (Judy) and Dwayne Myrick (Linda); sister, Brenda McCain (Dwight); sister-in-law, Lois Wiggins Albright; grandchildren, Allie Howard (Jonathan), Ryan Eckl, Jon Eckl; great-grandchild, Marley Rae Howard; special nieces and nephews, Steele Myrick, Sloane Darby, and children; special friend, Donna Pigg.
Pallbearers will be Cecil Myrick, Jr., Dwayne Myrick, Brandon Newton, Trey Wise, John Fulmer, and Jason Myrick.
Honorary pallbearers are Dwight McCain, Dr. Terence Hart, Roy Pigg, Michael Montgomery, John Nelson, Yogi Miller and Ray Goodman.
