Axel Davidson, Jr age 102 of Huntsville, AL passed away on Saturday, January 28, 2024, at his home.
Mr. Davidson was born December 03, 1921, in Stanton, Nebraska to Axel and Lillian Davidson. He graduated from Stanton High School in 1940. Following graduation, Axel served in the United States Army during World War ll from August 28, 1944 – September 23, 1946. After serving in the Army, Mr. Davidson began his career with the Army Missile Command which eventually brought him to the Redstone Arsenal in Huntsville, AL where he retired and continued working with H & R Block where he taught tax school and managed their offices for 20 years.
Mr. Davidson is preceded in death by his wife of 63 years Elsie Davidson, sons Gene Davidson, Bruce Davidson, his parents Axel and Lillian Davidson, his sister Arlene (Anton) Cisler, brother Don (Jeanette) Davidson, Jim (June) Davidson and his brother-in-law Dale Schellpepper. He is survived by his daughter Sandra Davidson of Florida, son Rodney Davidson (Bonita) of Columbiana, AL and his LaVonna Schellpepper of Stanton, Nebraska, 10 grandchildren, 28 great grandchildren, 6 great-great grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews.
Graveside service will be Friday, February 2, 2024, at 12:30 at Valhalla Cemetery in Huntsville, AL with family viewing at Spry Funeral Home before the service.
