Mr. Robert DelaneyRobert Delaney, 81, passed away January 3, 2024, in Parsons. Mr. Delaney, a resident of Scotts Hill, was born December 30, 1942, in Hardin County, to the late Delmar Delaney and Allie Lucille Thompson Delaney. He was a park manager for the State of Tennessee, retiring in 2015 after 49 years of service. Mr. Delaney was a member of Scotts Hill Methodist church. He was known by many people, and he loved his family. He enjoyed fishing, gardening, and cooking.
Mr. Delaney is survived by two sons, James Delaney (Christie) and John Delaney; a daughter Anita Cagle (Mike); four grandchildren: Mathew Cagle, Taylor-Mari Sifford (Myles), Whitney Delaney, and Page Delaney; one great grandchild, Adalyn-Mae Delaney; one brother Jimmy Delaney (Shirley) of Saltillo; and one sister Betty Jean Holland of Knoxville.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Delaney was preceded in death by his wife, Janice Victoria (White) Delaney, and a brother David Lee Delaney.
Visitation with the family will be from 10:00 AM until 2:00 PM on Saturday, January 6, 2024, at Pafford Funeral Home of Scotts Hill. Funeral service is scheduled for 2:00 PM Saturday in the Chapel of Pafford Funeral Home of Scotts Hill, with burial to follow in the Scotts Hill Methodist Cemetery.
