James Allen “Jim” Copous

James Allen “Jim” Copous, age 70 of Manchester, Tennessee died Sunday, December 31, 2023. He was a native of Columbus, Georgia and grew up in Tennessee, a son of the late James Edward and Barbara Ella Copous.

Survivors include daughters, Christi Cunningham and husband David of Old Hickory and Jennifer Barlog of Rock Island; a brother, Robert Copous of Manchester; grandchildren, Jordan and Jessie Barlog; great grandchildren, Peyton and Thomas Conner; loving companion, Rose DeBoer; and a host of other loving family and friends.

Jim attended First Baptist Church of Manchester and was a proud United States Air Force veteran. He was a 1972 graduate of Smyrna High School and had 17 years of service as a carpenter for Nashville Electric Service. A craftsman by trade, his skills ranged from carpentry to sheet metal fabrication and everything in between.

Visitation with the family will be 11:00am until 1:30pm Saturday, January 6, 2024 at Woodfin Memorial Chapel. Entombment will follow at 2:00pm in the Roselawn Memorial Gardens Mausoleum with Pastor Brady Martin officiating.
