Lynn Hester Lynn Hester, 64, of Iuka, Mississippi, died on Monday, January 1, 2024, at the Sanctuary Hospice House in Tupelo. Lynn began his law enforcement career in the Tishomingo County Sheriff’s Department where he worked for over 10 years. After that, he became an E-911 dispatcher for Tishomingo County and held that career for 38 years. During that time, he also DJ’ed for the radio station in Iuka. In his free time, Lynn enjoyed bushhogging, gun collecting, and gun trading. His two greatest joys in his life were his wife and his dogs. Lynn is survived by his beloved wife, Alicia Hester; and his cousins, Tommy Hester (Sheila), Robert Dexter (Kathy), and Ray Dexter (Dean). He was preceded in death by his parents, Billie Jean and Lyman Hester; his grandparents, Christine and Johnny Dempsey, and Sally Frank Castleberry and Thomas Benton Hester; his mother-in-law, Martha Jeffreys; and his niece, Kathryn Jeffreys. Cutshall Funeral Home in Iuka, MS, is entrusted with the arrangements. Visitation is scheduled from 12:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 4, 2024, at Cutshall Funeral Home in Iuka. Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 4, 2024, at Cutshall Funeral Home in Iuka, officiated by Jeff Jeffreys. Interment will follow in New Prospect Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Lynn’s honor to the Sanctuary Hospice House in Tupelo.
