Rickey Wayne Morris, age 72 of Huntland, passed away on Thursday, October 12, 2023, at Southern Tennessee Regional Health Systems in Winchester. He was born on October 22, 1950, in Fayetteville to the late Louis and Thelma (Holman) Morris. Rickey served in the Tennessee Army National Guard for six years. He was a lifelong farmer. In his spare time, he enjoyed travelling, loved to barbeque, and cherished the time spent with his beloved family. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his siblings, Ruby Towry, Fannie Towry, Nancy Pickett, Junior Morris, George Morris, and Raybon Morris. Rickey is survived by his loving wife, Theresa Morris of Huntland; sons, Brian (Dawn) Morris of Toney, Alabama, and Keith (Amanda) Morris of Belvidere; stepsons, Kyle (Emily) Brewer of Huntland, and David Brewer of Flintville; siblings, Dolly (Murrell) Luttrell of Flintville, Faye Pickett of Winchester, and Hershell Morris of Flintville; grandchildren, Gavin Calder, Chris Calder, and Gwendolyn Brewer; great-grandchildren, Sutton Calder, Maebry Calder, and Ren Calder; and several nieces and nephews. Visitation will be from 5-8pm on Monday, October 16, 2023, at Moore-Cortner Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 am on Tuesday, October 17, 2023, at Moore-Cortner Funeral Home with Rev. Tony Laurie officiating. Interment will follow at Pleasant Ridge Cemetery.
