Mary Alice Finney Walls, age 87 of Decherd, passed away on Wednesday, September 20, 2023, at Vanderbilt-Harton Hospital in Tullahoma. She was born on November 22, 1935, in Franklin County, to the late Jessie Lawrence Finney and Elizabeth Little Finney. Mary worked at a shoe and clothing factory for many years. She enjoyed gardening, canning, and yard sales. She was a member of the Prairie Plains Church of Christ. Mary is preceded in death by her parents, Jessie Lawrence Finney and Elizabeth Little Finney; sisters, Henrietta VanNatter, Juella Partin; brothers, Kenneth Finney, Elroy Finney; and husband, Preston Walls. She is survived by her son, David (Elaine) Walls of Decherd; daughter, Jennifer (Nathan) Harrod of Decherd; grandsons, Todd Walls of Belvidere, Adam Walls of Tampa, Florida; great-grandchildren, Haylee Walls, Cali Walls; sisters; Ann Meeker, Sue Raney, Margaret (Gary) Rigsby; and brother, Bobby (Regina) Finney. Visitation will be held on Friday, September 22, 2023, from 5pm-8pm at Moore-Cortner Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, September 23, 2023, at 11am at Moore-Cortner Funeral Home with Pastor Billy Robinson officiating. Interment will follow at Franklin Memorial Gardens.
