Lewis Dean Sharpe, 93, of Huntsville, Alabama passed into his heavenly home on September 11, 2023. Lewis started his career as a mechanic at the age of 16 at Pruitt Radiator and Battery Service. He later became the owner and worked there until his retirement in 2007.
Lewis served in the US Army during the Korean War and was a lifetime member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles.
He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers, three sisters, and one grandson, Justin Parsons. Survivors include his wife of 73 years, Ellen Sharpe; sister, Ethel Terry of Knoxville; daughter, Ginger Slaton (Jim); son, Lewis Dean Sharpe II (Monica); three grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 12 to 2 p.m. on Wednesday, September 13, 2023, at Laughlin Service Funeral Home. A graveside service will follow at 2:30 p.m. at Huntsville Memory Gardens.
