Nona Jean Wadkins Rich, 80 of Tuscumbia, went home to the Lord Wednesday, August 23, 2023. Visitation will be Saturday, August 26, 2023 from 12:00-2:00 p.m. at Morrison Funeral Home in Cherokee with the funeral service following at 2:00 in the funeral home chapel. Burial will follow in Harris Chapel Cemetery. Richard Parker will officiate the service.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Pete and Emma Wadkins; husband, Billy Morris Rich; brothers, Woody Wadkins, Clinton Wadkins, Milford Wadkins, Hershell Wadkins, Donald Wadkins, Talford Wadkins, and Larry Wadkins; sisters, Celeste Wadkins Tucker, Beatrice Wadkins Harrell, Faye Wadkins Martin, and Lena Mae Wadkins Magaraci.
Nona is survived by her son, Morris Keith Rich and his wife, Violetta and granddaughter, Stesha; sister, Catherine Gentle, and sister-in-law, Sherry Irons.
Pallbearers will be Dwight Wadkins, Dewayne Gentle, Charles Lambert, David Durham, Dale Williams, and Greg Waldrep.
