Frances “Fran” Joan Sullivan, 88, of Huntsville, AL passed away peacefully at her home surrounded by her loving family.

Fran will be best remembered as a loving, caring, and compassionate wife, mother, grandma, and grammie. Fran was an avid golfer, bowler, quilter, and seamstress. She enjoyed sewing numerous holiday dresses and Halloween costumes for her many grandchildren. Her quilts were enjoyed by many family members.

Fran was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Francis Sullivan, who died December 14, 2012, grandson, Matthew Sullivan, parents, George and Olga Kane, and brother, George Kane.

Survivors include her five children, Cheryl Teifer (Michael) of Ponte Vedra, FL, Judy Demaree of Madison, IN, Erin Sullivan, Tim Sullivan (Shannon), and Mark Sullivan (Lesley), all of Huntsville, AL; 20 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. Fran is also survived by her sisters, Marie Sweetland of Huntsville, AL, and Margaret “Peggy” Lemons of Blytheville, AR.

Visitation will be from 10 to 11:30 a.m. Monday, August 7, 2023, at Good Shepherd Catholic Church, followed by a memorial service at 11:30 a.m.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to be made to the “Anniversary Campaign for St. Bernard” (www.stbernardprep.com) or Good Shepherd Catholic Church Building Fund (https://www.goodshephsv.org/). Checks should be made payable to Good Shepherd Building Fund.
