Sharon Renea “Sherry” Fowler

Sharon Renea “Sherry” Fowler, 64, met her Savior and reunited with her parents on Wednesday, July 19, 2023 at Gilmore Hospital in Amory after a sudden illness. Sherry was born on September 2, 1958 in Tupelo to the late Janie Ivy Kutka and Bobby Fowler. Born developmentally disabled, Sherry lived a cherished and loving life with her Mom, Janie and her bonus dad, Vince Kutka until their deaths. A member of Oakdale Baptist Church, she lived in Briar Ridge South Group Homes for 30 years. She was cared for and loved by all who worked there. Sherry enjoyed spending time with her family, eating out, and drinking Pepsi.

A service celebrating her life will be held on Saturday, July 22, 2023 at 4 PM from the Sadie Holland Memorial Chapel at Holland Funeral Directors-Tupelo. Private burial will be at Lee Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 2 PM-service time on Saturday only, at the funeral home. For those unable to attend, the service may be viewed at www.hollandfuneraldirectors.com/Live-streaming

Sharon is survived by her brother, Perry Fowler (Rosie) of Plantersville, and their children, Jenny (Brian), Jake (Lexi), Jami (Mike), Joshua (Victoria); first cousin and caregiver, Susie (Jimmy) Holly of Ecru, and their family, along with a multitude of great nieces, great nephews, and cousins and their families. She was preceded in death by her parents, grandparents, aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Pallbearers are John Holley, Dustin Harris, Luke Ray, Colton Hogue, Cody Holley, and Jimmy Holley.
