Peggy Ann Kilgore, age 86, of Joelton, Tennessee, died Wednesday, July 19, 2023 at Ascension St. Thomas Midtown in Nashville.
Funeral services will be conducted at New Hope Free Will Baptist Church in Joelton at 2:00PM on Sunday, July 23rd, with Bro. Corey Minter and Bro. Tom Malone officiating. Burial will follow in New Hope Cemetery with her grandsons serving as pallbearers.
The family will receive friends at Austin & Bell Funeral Home in Pleasant View on Saturday, July 22nd from 5:00PM until 8:00PM and again on Sunday at the church from 1:00PM until the hour of service at 2:00PM.
Mrs. Kilgore was born on September 23, 1936, in Pleasant View, Tennessee. Although she helped her husband on the farm, her most treasured occupation was caring for her family. She was an avid country music fan, enjoyed watching westerns on TV, and loved spending time with her grandchildren. Mrs. Kilgore was a member of New Hope Free Will Baptist Church.
She is preceded in death by her mother, Nan Moore McNeese; step-father, Willie Moore; and brothers, Ken Moore and Phillip Stiles.
Survivors include her husband of 72 years, Jack Kilgore; son, Jack (Michelle) Kilgore; daughters, Debbie (Mark) Bishop and Tessa (Kevin) Burnett; brother, Paul (Edna) Moore; sister, Dale Burns; grandchildren, Jacquelyn Whitt (Chuck); Clint McKee, Jenna Zarchin (Max), Mason Kilgore, Kalin Kilgore; Aaron Burnett (Grace), Bryson Burnett (Tori), and Chris Kilgore (Jenny); great-grandchildren, Juliette Zarchin, Brady Zarchin, Lucy Grace Burnett, Emma Kilgore, Ava Kilgore, Tara Jade Phillips (Chad), Blake Whitt (Keela); and 3 great-great-grandchildren.
