Mary Ruth Keyes Reece, born May 14, 1948, in Newport, TN, passed away in her home surrounded by her family in Decatur, AL. Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, July 20, 2023 at 1:00PM with Dr. Josiah Peeler officiating at Shelton Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be at Burningtree Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be at the chapel from 11:00AM to 1:00PM prior to the service.
She is preceded in death by her father Sanford Keyes, mother, Jodie Keyes, brother, Paul Keyes.
She is survived by her beloved husband of 59 years, Homer Reece, two daughters Annette Ikard (Tim) and Karen Jones (Richard); son, Steve Reece (Angie); seven grandchildren: Allen (Stephanie), Brandon (Logan), Brian, Danielle (Josiah), Anna, Candace, and Will; and seventeen great grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be: Steve Reece, Richard Jones, Tim Ikard, Allen Ikard, Will Ikard, Brandon Reece, and Brian Reece.
In lieu of flowers, please make donations in her memory to the ALS Foundation or St. Jude’s Hospital.
