Olen Roger Roberts, age 72, of Spruce Pine, passed away on Thursday, July 06, 2023 at his residence.
Olen loved music, both playing different instruments and writing songs of his own. He was a devoted husband, and he and his wife, Martha, were inseparable and enjoyed their times together.
He leaves to cherish his memory, his wife of 50 years, Martha Baker Roberts; siblings, Kenny Roberts (Iris), Sandra Sommerfield (Edward), Windale Roberts (Cris); sister-in-laws, Linda Baker Raper, Alice Baker; special niece, Mandy Shires (Clay); and a host of nieces & nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Frank O. Roberts and Iris IV Roberts; siblings, Pelum T. Welborn, Maggie Welborn; grandparents, Preston Roberts, Goldie M. Roberts; brother-in-law, James L. Baker.
A celebration of his life will be 2:00 p.m. Sunday, July 09, 2023, at his residence for his family and close friends.
