Jimmy Lee Collier, 81, Muscle Shoals, passed away on Tuesday, July 4, 2023. Visitation will be Friday, July 7, from 12:00 – 2:00 p.m. at Morrison Funeral Home, Tuscumbia. The funeral service will immediately follow in the funeral home chapel with Bro. Chip Henley, Pastor at South Highland Freewill Baptist Church, officiating. Interment will be in Providence Baptist Church Cemetery, Town Creek.
Jimmy was a retired electrician with Reynolds Metals Company. Afterwards, he enjoyed a second career driving a truck, which he greatly enjoyed. He was a member of South Highland Freewill Baptist Church, IBEW 558, and a proud member of the Mustang Club of Muscle Shoals. Jimmy was preceded in death by his parents, Harvey and Mattie Collier; and brothers, Bobby and O’Dee Collier.
Jimmy is survived by his loving wife of 61 years, Linda Collier; son, Scotty Collier (Rie); daughter, Robbin Finley (Terry); sister, Peggy Farley; grandchildren, Austin Finley (Sarah), Morgan Finley (Haley), Courtney Finley, Thomas Collier (Mary), James Collier, and Joseph Collier; and a host of nieces and nephews.
Friends and family will serve as pallbearers.
