Martha Ann Fuller, 85, went to be with her Lord and Savior on July 3, 2023.
Martha was born in Thomas County, Georgia. She moved to Russellville, Alabama where she graduated high school in 1956. She went on to earn a double major in chemistry and micro-biology from Florence State and worked as a medical technologist for over 48 years. She worked primarily at Shoals Medical Laboratory, Eliza Coffee Memorial Hospital, and Russellville Hospital. Martha was a member of the First Baptist Church in Russellville where she attended the Davis Sunday school class.
Martha was a loving wife, mother, and sister. She is survived by four children, George (Cindy), Norma (Creig), Patricia (Chris), and Donna (Rodney). She also leaves behind seven grandchildren and one great-grandchild, Cody, Adam, Sarah (Clint, Violet-daughter), Eric, Kevin, Lindsey, and Brayden. Surviving sisters include Ruth Twine, Wilma Washington, and Deloris Vick.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, Grady P. Fuller. She is also preceded in death by her parents and three siblings, George and Christine Red Davis, Mamie Caroline Davis, Georgia Heald, and Theron Davis.
Visitation for Mrs. Fuller will be held from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at Pinkard Funeral Home on Friday, July 7, 2023. The service will follow at 12:00 p.m. with Brother Chase Dowdy officiating. Interment will be in Franklin Memory Gardens. Mrs. Fuller’s grandsons and sons-in-law will serve as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers are Doyle and Mike Gandy.
Memorial donations may be made to the First Baptist Church in Russellville, Alabama. The family would like to extend a special thank you to the caregivers at Hospice of North Alabama, Centerwell Home Health, and Pinkard Funeral Home.
