Lorene Marie Ayers Pigg departed this life on 07/02/2023 in Collinwood TN at the age of 94.
Lorene was born 05/25/1929 in Lutts, TN to Charlie Samuel and Madgie Belle Horton Ayers. She was the widow of Willie J Pigg, Jr. who passed away on 05/15/2006 after 58 years of marriage.
Lorene was a retired production worker at Genesco. She loved quilting, cooking, and playing with her grandchildren.
Lorene leaves behind one son, Jerry D. Pigg: and two daughters, Judy England and Myra Martin; Brother Ross Ayers; sister Susie Long; grandchildren
Janet Aaron, Jeremy Pigg, Rachel Mathis, Aimee Walker, Amber Moser, Anna Copeland, Jeffrey Pruet, Kasidhe Pruet and Victoria Wilson; Great grandchildren Jordan and Jayden Aaron, Chandler Pigg, Tristyn and Jackson Pigg, Brooklyn, Kainan, and Jaxton Grimes, Xaylan Staggs, Carlie, Boston, Bently, Brody, Berkley, and Swaysie Moser, and Allie, Harley, and Saban Copeland.
Lorene was preceded in death by her parents and husband, and also her brother Ralph Ayers, and her sisters Lesbie V. Howell, Hazel Casteel, and Faye Melson.
Visitation will be held Monday, July 3 from 5pm to 8pm and July 4, 10am to 11am at Shackelford Funeral Directors of Collinwood.
Service will be held July 4 at 11am at Shackelford Funeral Directors of Collinwood with Gregg Lee officiating. Interment will follow at Cromwell Crossroads Cemetery.
