Luisa Elercida Pena, age 52 of Murfreesboro, passed away on June 25, 2023, at Smyrna Care Center. She was born in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic on October 6, 1970, to the late Luis Pena Garcia and Rafaela Sila Ramos Fajardo. Luisa was a caregiver for many years in New York. In her free time, she enjoyed reading, crossword puzzles, bingo, dominos, card games, and her favorite movie: Dirty Dancing. She will always be remembered for her headstrong personality, which was her way or no way! Luisa is preceded in death by her parents, Luis Pena Garcia and Rafaela Sila Ramos Fajardo, and daughter, Christine Elizabeth Pena. She is survived by her daughter, Crystal Pena; son, Christopher Pena; grandchildren, Diana Pease, Daniela Pena; sister, Kircia Pena; brother, Luis Pena; and several nieces and nephews. A visitation will be held on Saturday, July 1, 2023, from 9:00am-11:00am at Moore-Cortner Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow at 11:00am also at Moore-Cortner Funeral Home.
